author's notes: this is the third of four sequels, this is the Slytherin Albus one. the first is here:
Coming Out On Wednesday Albus had told his parents about Scorpius, and Saturday morning his boyfriend comes through the floo with a large trunk. Albus has very little doubt that his father okayed it just to irritate Scorpius' father, but he doesn't care about his dad's reasoning, and knows Scorpius doesn't either. It really doesn't matter if their fathers still have tension, as long as Scorpius doesn't have to go to sodding France for six weeks.
"Thanks for having me over, Mr and Mrs Potter." are the first words out of his mouth, and Albus grins. His mum at least will be suckered in by the manners, as in a family of six older brothers she grew up without them.
"Yes, well. I'm pleased to meet you." The sentence is forced, and all five members of the family can tell. Scorpius probably can too, but he holds out his hand for dad to shake.
"How long have you two been dating?" Mum asks, and Albus wonders what Scorpius is going to tell her. Hell, he wouldn't know how to answer the question himself. Do awkward first experiments at twelve count, or does only the last year of school in which they started to say I love you?
"About six months, mam." Oh, so Scorpius counts it from winter break, when he and Albus both got each other a present for all twelve days of Christmas. Interesting.
"Oh, there's no need for that. You can call me Ginny, like James and Lily's friends." Which makes Albus look at them, and it's not good. Both his siblings have looks on their faces of pure shock.
"Dating? Al, you're dating Scorpius?"
"I told the entire family a few days ago. Didn't anyone tell you? I thought Louis would for sure!"
"No, I was definitely not told my brother liked blokes." James growls.
"Er. Is there going to be a problem?" Scorpius' fingers fly to his lips and he starts to bite at a nail. Albus automatically swoops forward and plucks the finger from his mouth, kissing the tip lightly. Then he begins to blush, realising this is the first public bit of affection, and it's not even something as common as a snog, it's something far more intimate.
"Good on you, that's a filthy habit." Lily preaches, smiling at her long and perfectly painted pink nails.
"No, there won't be a problem." Dad's voice is firm, his eyes glaring daggers in James. Albus is thrilled to have his father on his side, especially after a few days ago thinking that he would be cruel and horrid about it. Parents can be surprising sometimes.
"It's Scorpius!" James protests.
Albus takes a step forward and wraps his arm around his boyfriend's waist. In for a knut in for a galleon.
"You're right, it is. And if you have a problem with Albus' boyfriend staying here I suppose you could always go stay with your girlfriend." Mum suggests.
"He doesn't have one, he's too much of a whore to have one!" Lily crows.
"Or I suppose you could stay with Percy and your Aunt Audrey," she adds.
"And suffocate in the middle of the night on a crup sitting on your face!"
"You're all on his side over me?"
"James, we don't pick sides between our sons. What we do do, is pick sides between tolerance and bigotry, and you should know that by now." Dad's tone is hard as steel, and even James can't rail against it completely.
"When he hexes us in our sleep you'll be sorry!" James shouts before stomping back up the stairs.
"I'm really sorry about that. I didn't realise I would be causing strife." Scorpius looks so sad that Albus can't help but kiss his temple, though they both blush furiously under the looks of the rest of the family.
"It's not your fault he's an idiot. Now, what do you like to do for fun? What are your hobbies? How long are you here? Why do you like my brother when there are cool boys at Hogwarts? Why don't you date from your own house?"
"Um, flying, flying, six weeks, Albus is fairly cool himself, though I'm far cooler then he is, and I'm not sure there are any queer blokes in Ravenclaw beside me, and even if there were I think I rather love your brother. Anything else that needs to be answered immediately, or can I put my trunk down somewhere?"
"Oh, sorry! The guest room is upstairs, I'm sure Albus can show you where."
Albus turns to look at his parents. "Guest room?"
"Surely you didn't think that your boyfriend would sleep in your bedroom? We're not the Delacours, Albus."
Two weeks later and Albus is feeling a strong nostalgia for both being in the closet, and being at Hogwarts.
Being in the closet would be nice, because everyone's got a fucking opinion. Percy and Audrey and James are staunchly and vocally unimpressed. Ron's gotten over it, but Hermione radiates disapproval, though she never says anything. Lily and Mum hoard all the time at the breakfast and dinner table asking him about his life. If he was closeted, people wouldn't sodding talk to them all day and night. And sometimes it's not even innocent but boring conversation, like the two hour argument Ron and Scorpius had about which Captain of the Cannons created the best plays. The entire group of Delacour-Weasleys seem far too interested in his sex life, almost creepily so.
Which brings him to his next problem. There is absolutely no privacy, and thus no time to have sex with Scorpius. They haven't actually had sex yet, though fingers have been known to stray during a blowjob or hand-job. It was the plan to have sex their first night together, and continue the whole damn summer until by the time they were back at Hogwarts they were completely exhausted and had to go to the hospital wing to recuperate.
Unfortunately they've been foiled. In the Potter home, each bedroom has a small water closet attached. It's very convenient for late night bathroom needs, but it also makes it so there's no reason to leave your room at night. Which normally wouldn't matter, but just after Mum showed Scorpius to the guest bedroom Dad put a spell on the hallway floor. It now makes a clanging bell noise if someone steps on it, affectively making it impossible to sneak out of his bed to join Scorpius or vice versa.
And it isn't like he can get away during the day so they can sneak off to a bedroom or bathroom or stairwell or hedge. There's always someone around, or he's being asked to help George out of his funk, or to babysit Molly and Audrey. There is never a free moment.
If Albus had known that his family were a massive group of cockblockers he would have reconsidered his invitation. As it stands, every time he gets hard from the lascivious smile Scorpius likes to wear, or when the blond gropes him under the kitchen table at dinner he wishes he could time travel and suggest he go with Scorpius to France instead. Surely in another country they'd be able to sneak away and have sex.
At the same time, it's not the worst thing in the world to have his boyfriend at the Potter home. He has a handful of examples of true love around him, and even though he's supposed to be a hard-hearted Slytherin he wants to believe that they'll be together after graduation. It can only help if his family likes Scorpius.
