I only knew your mom from the internet, but I thought of her as a friend and hoped to meet her in person and have a Buffy marathon with her later this year. Her posts - whether fics or rants or her unedited letters to the editor - always made me laugh and cry and think. I will miss her.

Oh my God. While we didn't know each other well at all, when I first entered fandom, Atara was a person I respected and admired greatly. She was so talented and so intelligent. I really looked up to her and the women around her.
