So the cat went missing a week ago, we thought he'd gone off to die because that's what cats do when they're sick. Anyway I found him yesterday in the long grass in a really bad way, and was so happy to find him, and took him to the vet, but then it turned out the dribbling and disinterest in food was a tumour in his neck that had completely ( Read more... )

Thanks for all your comments re: the dead cat. It is sad but he was old. He was my childhood pet so it is astonishing and strange to think of the memories I have with him when life was so different and carefree and I would make him come and sleep in my bed during storms, even though he wasn't supposed to. Someone just knocked on my window. Quite bad and scary since I live alone in a basement flat in rape alley. My dogs have recently discovered tunneling under my duvet.
