c) cashiering is the most mind-numbing monotony imaginable. it's like a lobotomy without the scars. but no matter how dumb the cashier is, YOU, as the customer, are always infinitely dumber. so many times i'd be like, "your total is 4.23, ma'am" and she'd hand me 2 ones. or like 3 ones and 13 cents. WHAT THE FUCK, OLD LADY? and then she cops an attitude, like i must be dumber than her because i work for minimum wage and she's a fucking gluttonous consumer whore so she's so much better than me, of course.
