OK, so I'm going to drone on, we all know that Bush "won" the presidency again. And I do not want to spurn yet another political debate. I heard John Kerry's concession speech and I commend him for rallying his supporters and urging them to not give up. But it is so hard to keep faith that Bush will lead this country in a positive direction the ( Read more... )

uhhh 2 things. one: there was nothing illegal about the last election, just people didnt have enough balls to challeng anything, so technicly legal. and two: nothing you talk about has anything to do with national safety. were too tied up in iraq for bush to send anyone anywhere else in the next 4 yrs. there is no threat to our securty and infact there hasnt been for a while now.we are not in any danger, at least not any more than we would be. so cut that shit out, and you have a perfect argument otherwise, thoes are the real issues that your talking about in there, just keep it to thoes and your fine. and by the way, almost all of us know what its like to be middle class, at least around here.

We weren't in any danger when 9/11 happened. How can you be so, well, ignorant? Of course it's a small chance that anything happens, but Rob, and I, and a lot of people, feel that that chance is significantly larger due to Bush's re-election. At least Kerry would have opened Iraq to a UN coalition, thus getting the job done faster.

ps. I feel like I've been saying the same things all day on LJ. This seriously sucks either way.

well said, sir.

there's no hope for the next four years. Aparently 51% of americans don't care about finding a cure for cancer, breathing clean air, having a RIGHT TO CHOOSE, helping the homeless, making sure their child is educated, having medical care, having a secure job, or about how the world sees us as a nation. We're supposed to be a national power, and our president is the most wretched excuse for a leader. He has his own agenda and does not care ONE BIT about this country. Anyone that wants to make it illegal for someone as wonderful as you to have a marriage, a right that I will have just beacuse I'm heterosexual, should not be a leader. That is discrimination, and has no place in our constituton. He led our citizens into a needless war, and they are dying every day for no reason. He has no regard for the UN. I could go on and on....I'm so upset right now.

scary part is canada is thinking of illegalizing same-sex marriage in ALL of canada... and yes there are provinces where it is currently legal, as we all well know. Isn't there anywhere free and safe in the world anymore?
