Hamster, pt II

So I got my hamster! I don't know yet if it's a boy or a girl (I neglected to ask at the pet store, silly me) though I have a feeling it's a girl. She's a lovely light brown toffee colour. Imaginatively, I've called her Toffee. Toffee is the cutest thing I've seen in ages.

Now I just have to get her used to being handled so she doesn't try to bite

Thanks! I just hope she likes it. I've already discovered that she doesn't like the noise of the washing machine, so I have to take her to my room when that's on :-\

If I could bring her to a mudmeet I would, but I doubt the airline companies would be thrilled with a hamster on their flight :-P

sure! Just give me a few days to get her used to having those big human hands near her so she doesn't bite your fingers. She has really small teeth, but they're needle-sharp.

Yesterday I put a raisin in her foodbowl (I heard they like those) and she grabbed it almost before I had the chance to get my fingers out of the way. I guess she's getting used to me... She then sat there like a little squirrell on her hind legs, holding the raising and nibbling at it. Too bad I didn't get a picture of it :(
