so today was my first day on the new job. the restaurant url is here. it's pretty nice. there's only 3 of us working the line. one guy on the grill, one on the frier and me on the pantry. i do the salads and desserts. and there's a lot of salads :P but the people are nice, so far, and very helpful. so with any luck i can stay here a while, save up ( Read more... )

so i had both my interviews today. both seemed to go well.

the first, for a hotel that's being built here, would be for an assistant pastry chef for one of the two restaurants. he seemed pretty interested in me and said that he'll give me a call on the 7th, after i get back from getting my car, to set up a final cooking interview.
