Well, m'boys, a last hurrah before the shove-off to Mississippi. I'll be down there in good ol' Dedeaux until 9:00 on Saturday. With all this stuff going on, I've neglected to update with anything semi-important in a month or so, it seems. Oops. 'Ho well. I'll get around to it; by Sunday HIR will be done and life will be a little less crazy (I hope).

Holla, boys. Independent Research's going nuts, but it's looking like it'll turn out all right. I'm switching from glass to plexiglass, which I don't know how it holds up against regular window panes but don't care at the moment. Since aerogel and glass are both made of silica (a momentous fact I overlooked), their melting points would be similar ( Read more... ) -
