My comments on the boyfriend having dinner with the ex:
There are some situations when people remain friends after they have dated. This can be expected and I wouldn't want to ask someone to stop being friends with someone from their past simply because the relationship made me uncomfortable. However, it would be more appropriate to include your current girlfriend/boyfriend in your outings with this person. Why? Because it is mean to continue to see someone ALONE when it obviously makes your significant other uncomfortable. Also, even if you have the best of intentions and can be trusted, that is not always true of the ex. What are the ex's intentions? I understand Amy why it would make you uncomfortable for them to have dinner alone at her house. That would make me very uncomfortable. You should suggest a compromise...for instance, you go with him or they have dinner out in a public place.
