It was snowing here this morning, but it has stopped and it didn't stick around much. It was neat though.

How have you been?

Computer got fried, so not online much, but I had a wonderful Christmas/New Year's and spent most of the winter break reading and taking my dog for walks. I'm back to tutoring math and physics again this semester, which is nice, although the pay has actually decreased from a few years ago, and it looks like I'll actually graduate at the end of 2012, something which is way overdue and very welcomed. I've been playing a lot of piano and chess, have been singing in church choir, and am still attending the Memphis Symphony Orchestra. Life's pretty full.

Oh, that all sounds nice. Congrats on the almost graduating. Singing in a church choir? That is a a little surprising.

I'm working on some challenging derivations for my survival analysis course. It's fun but also kind of making my head hurt.

What!? It was -32 here yesterday. Frozen grackles were falling off trees. It was dangerous.

We hit a blistering high of 52 degrees today down here in the tropics of Memphis. I actually had to go home and take off my new heavy wool coat for fear of sweaty armpits.

Sweaty armpits, grackles falling from trees...sweaty armpits, grackles... Hmm...

Pretty good. I'm drinking Glenlivet at an altitude of 38,000 feet.

Do you ever fight the urge to sneak into the hallway between jail cells at night and wave a lightsabre around in the dark just to scare them into being good, upstanding citizens again? Because, for some reason, I could see you doing that.

hahaha YES!!! I nearly jumped out of my chair with excitement when they devoted like 10 full seconds to her in the opening sequence, since that usually means that.

Coffee-drinking commando nerd FTW! I would prefer sugar with this beverage!

I'm still waiting for the Dr. Chi Park-centric episode on House, though. :(

Did you see her cheering on that turtle like an angry soccer fan about to riot?
