Asylum 3 DVD

Hi everyone!

I'd like to know if anyone is in the same situation:

I ordered the Asylum 3 DVD in December 2009 and was assured it was shipped on April 16th this year (already some delay in matching my payment with my order even if I included the order number in the bank transfer info...). But now, two months later and still nothing received.

And when I ( Read more... )

The email you received is an automatic one that is sent out in reply to all emails Wayne receives, he may not have actually seen your email. Since he is the only dealing with the dvds at this time you need to email him again I'm afraid. Every single dvd that was ordered and paid for was sent out, but a load of them seem to have gone missing in the post, which is what I assume happened with yours. All you can do is email Wayne again to let him know yours never arrived. It's not a case of them not sending you what you paid for, it's more a case of the thieving Royal Mail having lost it or held on to it for whatever reason.

I didn't imply that they didn't send it, just that I don't know what else I can do, as I already e-mailed twice without "real" reply. I asked Wayne about a tracking number on the mail but I'm not sure there was even one, so maybe there's nothing to base a complaint on with the Royal Mail.

I dont know why he hasnt answered you, but he's notoriously bad at answering emails, even to me, one of the reasons I left. But, I can tell you that there's no tracking number to give you, they were sent by normal First Class post, not Recorded.

As I said in reply to the original post, all the dvds that were ordered and paid for WERE sent out, but a large number seem to have never arrived at their destinations, it's not a case of them not sending them out. If you didnt received yours you'll need to email Wayne as you said you would, and let him know that yours never turned up.

I 100% believe that they were sent out, that was never the question for me. I know stuff from the UK usually takes longer than you'd think and every week it's not come, I've just been like "Oh, next week then and if not I'll send an email" that why I haven't till now. But is there really anything Wayne can do about it?

BTW, it's always nice to see you here :)

Well he can't track them so the only thing he can do is send out new copies. International post can't be tracked from here anyway unless it's sent by courier.

Honestly, if that were me, I'd be demanding a refund AND the DVD by now. That's an unacceptable amount of time to be waiting for anything and there's no excuse. I don't really feel comfortable with blaming the postal service for this problem because I've heard the same story from sooo many people.

Wayne posted on the forum ages ago that something like 1 in 7 of the dvds sent out never arrived from the emails he received from people. I have no reason not to believe him, in fact considering they were all sent out in one large batch, there's a pretty good chance tha the reason is that someone at Royal Mail depot either ditched them or kept them. Non-letter items have a much higher incidence of going 'missing' and if they'd been sent at different times I'd agree with you that it sounds unlikely, but since they were all sent together, I think something fishy definitely happened once they were posted out.

The reason they didnt send them by Recorded Delivery is that notoriously 8 of 10 times the postman doesn't bother getting a signature, they just put them through the door so there's never any proof of delivery. I've had countless RD just put through my letterbox, and it makes a mockery of them charging extra for the service. I think it's something like an extra 70p per item and while that may not seem like much, times that by the hundreds of dvds that were ordered and it adds up to a huge amount of money that would have been basically wasted.
