They're doing a 10% more points for every order you make promotion right now, but I'm not quite sure how that pans out, so if someone who is used to making purchases with points can fill us in that'd be awesome.

I will do the filling in since I bought myself a paid account for my personal journal just a wee bit ago. The promotion right now is that when you buy a paid account, you get ten percent of the points that the account is added to your...point collection, to put it simply. So, for example, I bought 1 month and that's worth 30 points, meaning that I got 3 points to use toward another purchase of a paid account and right now it's just...sitting there unused.

But beyond that, they work like the "tokens" over here at LJ do.

I can't say much more than everyone else already has, but for me, I'll follow Ataraxion and the other RPing I do (which is minimal these days anyway), wherever it goes. If we stay, we stay. If we go, we go. I won't be buying paid time here again unless they do something about the mess, which, I'm assuming, is doubtful.

That complete overhaul they're got brewing just looks plain disgusting - in design and functionality. Yuck.

I've had my personal LJ for over ten years at this point, and I've never seen anything like this before. Straw, camel's back, etc. I really have no reason to stay tethered to LJ anymore, so moving is totally fine with me, if it comes down to it.
