Heard the first frogs tonight!      However, it has some to my attention that some have not appreciated my joy of spring noises.

The Great Collider will be ready for action the first of the year.  I can hardly wait!   Built on the boarder of France and Switzerland the diameter is 17 miles!--but the beam pipe is only an inch or so wide.  Accelerating particles to nearly the speed of light, they will look for the Higgs field that physicists theorize determines what is matter ( Read more... )

I had a great birthday!  I got to drive my mustang, drink Martini's with my daughter and family in a swank river bar.  Watch my grandaughter who is three judge prom dresses, the girl in pink won, and go on an adventure with her at the river's edge to watch muskrats.  Plus I got to drive home in a cool Lincoln.  Nice day.
