Thanks so much for your wonderful job translating and for getting it to us Saiyuki-deprived fangirls so quickly. You have no idea how absurdly happy reading that new chapter tonight made me -- especially meeting the new female Sanzo!!!!!! And it all seemed so laden with wonderful promises of things to come, hints of how she is going to knit together all the threads she has so masterfully laid down over the years in Gaiden, Saiyuki, and Reload, finally bringing them all together. I had been looking forward to her coming back so much, but she really truly has exceeded my expectations already - she is truly awesome, to be doing so much, so soon after such a major physical ordeal. She is one spectacularly creative and talented woman, truly to be admired.
Just wanted to leave you a note thanking you for your speedy translations of the new chapters. It's so good to see them again.
I'm hoping Sharak Sanzo joins them and stays a part of the story until the confrontation in Houtou. Even though bringing all the sutras together strikes me as a really bad idea, there's probably no avoiding it, and Sharak and her men seem like they'd be of some help in a showdown.
I'm also wondering: Does this mean we have to call him Genjyo now?
Gosh, I'm so late. Saiyûki puns are one of the main reasons why it is so freaking interesting to have the books in Japanese *-*. Such a pity it is really hard to translate them properly... I understand what you feel about this pun thing ! Maybe it is a better idea than to translate all the texts as a whole. A great part of their "charm" is bound to disappear if we even translate the puns. That is just my personal opinion, though.
