I love the similarities between Pear/Abel and Cameron/House, they were subtle but yet so prominent, and the ending was very House, very in character and I agree, House doesn't have to change to be with someone he loves, and he could find what happiness means for him with the woman he loves.
Long comment, sorry *lol*

You write so beautifully that I could see all of this in my head as I read it.
"Because... I'm tired of waiting."
So true.
I don't care what TPTB at House say....House and Cameron are fated to be together. Blame Hugh and Jen and their intense chemistry or the way the characters were written at the beginning of the series. Either way, you wrote what should happen because Cameron was the only one who understood him and accepted him; House always treated her with gentleness and respect. You captured that perfectly.

This! This! This! She never tried or wanted to change him, they are simply perfect for each other...
Wonderful ending! Thank you for this amazing story!

I read some interview with Shore recently where he said he wished he hadn't done some things on the show, but wouldn't admit what they were because he didn't want to fuel the fire. I'd bet anything that letting JMo go was one of those things.
Thanks again for your kind words. &hearts

I guess in the end House started to think about his relationship with Cameron and realized he doesn't want to miss out on anything with her. Like the Captain did with Pearl not telling her how he really felt in the beginning and then later, when she went to Scotland and he stubbornly stayed at home.
Thank you so much for sharing this story with us :) <3

This story feels bittersweet, yet comforting. Like wrapping up on a cold winter's evening in an old, worn quilt made by the dearly-loved grandmother who passed away some years ago. I think this is now officially my favorite House/Cameron fic.
Almost forgot to add: Regarding the author's notes, I ♥ you SO MUCH for putting so much thought into the little details. I just love it when a story's ending ties everything up and relates it back to the beginning.
