Day 62, evening, control room/personal quarters, attn. Peter, Kate, others [F]

Adam was quite pleased as he left his quarters. The day had been quite a success so far. The mission had been a piece of cake, he'd written his report in record time. He'd spend some time doing target practise and then went to the gym. In about half an hour he had a date with Kate, but he wanted to check in with Peter Grodin first.

"Oh, thank you," Adam said and gave Grodin a grin. "I wanted to make it a surprise. We hadn't talked about it, and I just wanted to check if it's possible. Do you think I should contact the Major or Dr McKay?"

Peter thought about the question. "I added you to the list but you might want to talk to the Major because from a security stand point, he might want you housed in a particular area."

Adam nodded. "I'll do that, Dr Grodin," he said, then winked. "Better talk to the Major than talking to Dr McKay." He hadn't worked with McKay much, but from what he caught in the mess hall, the man wasn't exactly sociable.

Peter grinned at the other man. "I would quite agree. The major is certainly a better bet than Rodney," he replied. Of course, McKay was in the middle of a break up and the major might have a problem with the drink. It was one hell of a situation.

"Yeah, probably," Adam nodded, then slipped his hands into the pockets of his trousers. "So, are you done for today, too? Got any plans for the evening?" he asked. He enjoyed the company of the other man and wanted to grab the chance to get to know him a little better.
