THIS IS A BLAINE ANDERSON POST: NEVER BEEN KISSED VERSION

This is a post about Blaine Anderson. It was going to be about all the episodes he’s in so far, but it got to 1,500 words about “Never Been Kissed” so I thought I’d do it episode by episode instead.

DISCLAIMER: I’ve seen a lot of hate regarding Blaine recently and, well, I just kinda ( Read more... )

Can I marry the things you are saying? THIS IS ALL SO TRUE. I am going to mention this when I cover BIotA. Because there is so much more to Blaine than this and it is sad and hurtie and I like talking about him. But, yeah, I've read things about people being like HE'S A COWARD HE LET KURT FIGHT THE BATTLE AFTER HE PROMISED ETC and I was like uh. No. Are we watching the same show?

Please do whatever you feel like with this post bbdoll. ♥ :D I will keep posting them over at b_d too - I am going to cover Sub/Glee Xmas next, so you can look out for that in like. Two days. Probably. :D

Yes! I also think it's Blaine's pacifist nature that Kurt finds attractive. Here's this sweet boy who finds words and reason and peace so absolutely inherent in what's right. How refreshing.

I enjoye dyour thoughts very much!

As was said above, I kind of thought of Blaine as a pacifist too. I loved his gesture of throwing his hands up, like "Hey, I can't match your brute strength, and I'm not here to get into a physical fight with you." I loved that Kurt got upset about that because he didn't want Blaine to be dragged into this or be hurt on his account.

I remember how wonderful it was when Blaine first came on the scene, because it did feel like no one else really cared or was doing anything to help Kurt. Blaine may not be a perfect "white knight" with all the answers, but he stepped in and became an empathetic ally.

Hey hey! :D Yeah, I totally agree with you. The fact that he tried to be calm and didn't force the issue instantly, alongside the passive motion - it spoke volumes to me. They were just looking out for each other, I think.

Yes, you basically summed up my feelings perfectly ♥

Blaine's reaction there really made me love him, because he's so cultured and un-Karofsky-like. I also feel sad for him to have to face bullying again (something that had "really pissed" him off before). Kurt has dealt with Karofsky before, but he will NOT tolerate him touching his new, awesome friend.

I understand when people are coming from when they say that Blaine gave bad advice, but yes! He didn't know everything - I don't think he knows everything now. I think the people in Kurt's life have learned little bits of information; while Blaine knows about the kiss he doesn't know about the death threats and, maybe, 80% of the physical torment. Meanwhile, the Hudmels understand the physical torment but don't know about the kiss. These things need to be brought together and dealt with, methinks.

I one hundred perfect agree with you here. I see Blaine as a "talk rather than fight" guy.

Yeah, exactly. I think this entire thing - if Glee decides to stitch up the plotline - could lead to more beautiful Hummel moments, and some Furt-brotherly love. I think they really need to be careful with how they proceed with Kurt's return to McK.
