I went for a
30-mile bike ride today, and it took me about 2h50m. My legs are tired and my throat is itchy. I betcha that I'm going to be ungodly sore tomorrow. But otherwise, it was fun and I'm looking forward to longer rides or shorter times for the same ride.
Next time I should bring that Bike There map and more water. And maybe a snack.

•Drink lots of water!
•You will be sore, but doing some nice easy stretching and water will take care of it.
•Always bring snack! (This is where the 'calories intake vs energy output = weightloss' falls apart... If you refuel, you can do lots more exercise and come home feeling peppy instead of like you've been dragged through mud with broken glass in it.)
•You can always stop to refill water at a gas station or convenience store that has a soda machine. (Folks there are always nice about it. Especially if you are dying.)
