17 days until iyelli and I are on vacation. I haven't been on a real vacation since lobstergyrl and I went to Scotland in 2005. Needless to say I'm looking forward to it.

I often wonder about how certain beverages and foods came to be. Right now I wonder about foie gras, that terribly inhumane yet very delicious pate ingredient.

What sick bastard (I'm told it was an ancient Egyptian) decided that he'd force feed a goose for 12 days and then eat it's liver on a cracker?

One of these days I will post a meaningful update. Not today though.

This intrigues me. I'd love to see something like it running in Calgary.

My car is in the shop today. 150K tune-up. $530. Reasonable.

Parts of the electrical system were flooded last Tuesday. $2000+. Very fucking unreasonable.

My car is only worth 5-6K. Like hell I'm going to drop 2K into it.

Do you ever get the urge to quit your job and spend the rest of your life making B grade westerns? I sure do.
