Sorry, but I'm afraid I'm currently on a "Don't listen to Portishead" mission. Why? Because my best friend/roommate just broke up with her boyfriend, and yesterday, in an effort to not fight her feelings, apparently listened to portishead all day and was then telling me how miserable she was all evening. And it's not that I mind hearing that she's miserable -- I just think you can not fight your mood while still not *reinforcing* your mood, too.

hehehe. actually, i only listened to that song (and i promise, it's one of their less depressing ones) for a minute before changing to something else. i just thought it was a little weird/funny/ironic that i was listening to a song called "it could be sweet" and writing about really old M&Ms. i know, i'm lame. :)
