good to meet another salgado fan out there. i mentioned salgado while i was talking about documentary photojournalism with a friend once. my friend looked at me quite concernedly, said quietly, "andrea, his name's SEBASTIAN." neophyte. haha.
in recent months, i've veered away from straight documentary. i've been studying winogrand and meyerowitz and any other street photography i can get my hands on. good stuff.
your name sounds familiar, but i have no idea why. anyway, it's nice to hear from someone outside of my couple of LJ friends.
Ooo, you'd really enjoy Weegee's work then. He's my favorite photographer by far, and Winogrand's stuff reminds me a lot of him.
Anyway, it's nice to meet you too. I've added you to my friends list, and if it were not for tonight's intense procrastination up to this point, I'd write more. Talk to you later.
(ponders use of "friend" as verb; decides she doesn't care)
You know, I've been using LiveJournal so long that "friending" no longer annoys me. Or maybe I've been in the corporate world too long to be annoyed by such abuse of the English language. I'm facilitating impactful synergies!
