I've been into this song for awhile. A pretty song by a very talented woman. The Pat Metheny cover is also wonderful.

If I ever come across a solid chunk of money to spend freely, I'd like a vintage Wurlitzer Jukebox.  It must be able to play 45s, and I will choose each and every record inside it.  It will be in my basement, and since they are like 6 g's, it will probably be there with nothing else.  Maybe a lawn chair and a half-full case of Keystone light ( Read more... )

 I want to write the "Nebraska" of our generation- a record that nobody has actually heard, but everyone thinks is great, and talks about it being great!

Tonight at AAF, a minister from the Urbana-Champaign Unitarian Universalist Church answered questions and clarified misconceptions about his church.  I was moved by the presentation.  This particular minister had a calming way about him, and because of this, I was able to focus on his arguments and points without questioning him instantly.  My ( Read more... )

 Sometimes I wonder how little work a college professor can assign in a semester.  I expect to be working at the end, but why in the middle?  Maybe I'm bitter that I have to do 2 essays while the Cubs play.  Don't get me wrong, I still hate the Cubs, but I still want to watch.  Nahimean?

In 6th grade I gave a speech about N64.  The point of the speech was to persuade the class that it ruled, and more importantly, trumped Playstation.  I made a lot of REALLY bad and FALSE arguments, and to this day, it still makes me laugh.  I claimed all the games sucked, and that the Playstation didn't have a reset button (it does).  Haha.  All ( Read more... )
