The advantage of NaNoWriMo is that, if you get to the 50,000 word mark, you "win," where as if you do NaDissWriMo, you don't automatically win if you get to the required length.
I was considering it. I tried it three or four years ago, and my computer broke down halfway through after it got dropped by movers, and so I never wound up finishing it.
I should say that i'm considering it only now after seeing a number of my friends decide they were going to start it. I've only started htinking about it in the last 24 hours, which means I have nothing--no ideas, plans, whatever.
I'll write at least 50,000 words in memos asking people to do shit they should already be doing. That probably doesn't count, though, although it would be an avant garde novel.
Are you writing something? You should! I want to read a novel by you.

Also, I can't believe they still use that name after all these years. I feel embarrassed just hearing it my head.

The idea is a novel about my main interests of the moment - real estate, crime, and hasidic brooklyn.
