Can somebody tell me what the hell the air raid siren is for? Am I supposed to report to a shelter or something? There doesn't seem to be anyone else around, not that I can see very far in this fog.

Any suggestions as to where? I've been in town for about 30 minutes and the doors to the Travel Agency are locked.

I can come to escort you to someplace safe. Or... at least as safe as possible, I'm beginning to doubt that there's anything commonly safe indoors or outdoors.

If this is anything like the last mad lovecraftian romp the city embarked upon - all of last week - spooky fucking monsters will emerge from the mist to chew on your innards, and they won't even have the decency of possessing bowels to disrupt. If you can't make it to [apartment address], lay low and pretend you're somewhere vile and uncivilized, like England, or anywhere in the City south of Fourteenth Street.

Things are trying to eat your guts here on a weekly basis? I thought Royce got you out of the City to avoid that kind of thing. Don't worry about your favourite toy not working; I went out like you asked and bought guns. Many guns. I'll see if this Germany guy can get me over to you; the map function on this thing they gave me isn't working. Hey, is Yelena with you, or are we going to have to go looking for her?

She was here the last time I checked, but that was two drug breaks ago. Hopefully she hasn't been abducted by the television set like the Filthy Intern.

At least here, the things aren't gunning for me personally. And generally speaking, up until the past month they've mostly been amusing diversions and experiments in headfuckery.
