Loose Ends
I thought it would be good to try and net all these thoughts flying through my mind lately. I have had been waving the banner of being too busy, and that has fallen on my social life a little hard. I realize this now after being out for the past two days with friends I have not seen in a while. It makes me question how long I should wait here for

It isn't courage, though it takes it. And takes it in spades. It's called forgiveness, and it's something very hard to learn to apply to ourselves and our past.
I wasn't there and I'm not privy to your past, but I'd wager that it isn't easy to forgive yourself and realize you aren't the same man. Being who we are now can and often is overshadowed by who we were. Kudos to you for moving on.
