First, love, love, LOVE your icon. Second, love this ep. description.

I think I may have to reavaluate my possible mistrust of Debbie. lol
She really has a way of connecting with people and making them spill. I even felt a little sorry for her. It seems pretty obvious the guy who thinks of her as a little sister was Luke. So I guess she's not the threat I thought she would be to Luke and Lorelai. But why does Lorelai feel so threatened by her?

I felt so sorry for Lorelai too at the end of the teaser. She seems kind of lost. Maybe it's hormonal, maybe not, but why isn't Sookie more understanding? She's had three kids. Lorelai was always understanding about her crazy mood swings.

Does Debbie have an ulterior motive though? Did she come back to Stars Hollow looking for another chance with Luke, hoping he'd be available? Or maybe she wants to put everything to rest for herself? Whatever Debbie's reasons, it seems Lorelai is feeling displaced by this blast from the past, and I don't suppose she'll appreciate Rory's connection with her either - no matter how fleeting it is. As for Sookie, I've rarely found her to be a sympathetic friend - most of the time she was too out to lunch to even notice.

It's quite probable Debbie did have an ulterior motive for coming to Stars Hollow. But agreed, whatever reason Debbie came to town and why she stayed, Lorelai does appear to feel like she's left out in the cold. My comment re: Sookie was mostly complaining. For all that Lorelai has been made to be self-involved, she notices more often than not when things aren't going well with her friends. I'd say Sookie is more often self-involved than Lorelai. Or on some other planet.

as much as i liked Debbie in last epi, in this one i feel she really is in SH for something..i mean why would she come to SH after all these years? i think Luke is on her mind and i don't like it, at all..as for Lorelai, not only does whole SH likes Debbie, not only Luke likes her, but Rory will too..seeing Rory with her was the last straw i think..she saw herself in Debbie while watching Rory, Debbie and Luke talk in the diner..maybe it's hormonal but i think every woman would feel threatened by Debbie..new girl who everyone like, that was Lorelai before she made an appearance..

Can I just say, after reading the reviews on the multiple sites, and seeing the discussion in here, I absolutely love the 'uncertainty'. Some like her, some don't, and both groups are uncertain. Exactly what I was hoping for.

As far as Sookie goes, I agree. She is a bit of a scatter-brain when it comes to pointing out the obvious or sensing the mood. It wasn't as bad in the earlier seasons. I think she got worse over time. And that may have a lot more to do with Amy's direction than anything else. But in this particular series, she hasn't been a total nitwit. And in her defense, Debbie had just come to SH, and as far as Sookie knows - Lorelai has no reason to dislike Debbie. I think another conversation between the best friends could shine some light...

I actually don't think that Sookie is that bad at sensing Lorelai's (!) mood(s). I mean Sookie knew that Luke had a thing for Lorelai (and what is more important the other way around too) from the very beginning. And that didn't change through the whole show. When Luke and Lorelai had broken up and was Sookie who didn't believe Lorelai that she was over Luke and it was certainly Sookie who pointed out to her that Christopher "isn't the one" even without Luke in the picture. Maybe she isn't the fastest when it comes to certain things and maybe she is more self-involved than Lorelai but she certainly knows her best friend. I'm positive that once Lorelai talked to her she will understand. In this point I totally agree with you audirox ;-)
Also I don't know if I said this yet but Debbie is soooo annoying!

Continue asap please :)

First I am Sorry for orthographic mistake, I come from Germany, and I haven't English for 3 years...

But i really love your story, and it's so nice, because the final of the series isn't soooo good... The mostly "open ending" i don't like...

I wait eagerly, that you go on :)

you're mean *pout* this perfect Debbie drives me crazy, and Lorelai pretending like everything is ok reminds me of s6 Lorelai, and that's not good..i want her to snap finally, to say what's bothering her even though it's just hormones..for now..
