I think it's enough. That's the topic of Oregon's Measure 58 which "prohibits teaching public school students in a language other than English for more than two years". OCtober 16 is the 200th birthday of Noah Webster, infamous dictionary man. There was an article in the paper today that said how he really pulled together American spelling (the article said language, but language knows no reins!). He was responsible for a lot of u-dropping from British English spelling and dropping the k in former "musick". ( Read more... ) -
