Another brave entry this week.

I hope Audrey actually shares this with Melody, Lacy, Mary and Andrew so they know how strong their mother is. I hope they're the kind of kids who recognize all she did for them and how she overcame so much for their sakes and love her more for it.

I quite liked the letter format here--the idea of these various letters (to oneself, to others) carrying these intense messages is interesting.

I always kind of thought so too. And I admit it often helps me when I'm writing something like this to myself, it puts a distance between it and me that makes it less painful and allows me to deal with it little by little.

Thank you, me too. :)

They don't say it very often but I think they are. When we talk about that time in our lives, my older two daughters especially talk about how blessed they are. I am so grateful my kids don't have any side effects from what happened, so grateful for that.
