I used to talk to trees, too. When I was in elementary school, I had named all of the trees in our playground and I spent every lunch/recess with them instead of with the other kids.
:D I'm glad I'm not the only tree talker out there. My kids make fun of me when I put my hands on the trees and whisper to them. But you can just feel them you know? It's comforting.
I definitely know. :) A few months ago, we went into the woods for a camping trip/art show type thing. I had knit tree sweaters to decorate our area, and it was really great getting to put them on all the trees, give them each a hug, pat them a little, sort of get to know our place better. I can still see each one of those trees in my mind. :)
I love that you hug trees :) I used to think I could control the wind. Whenever my friends in elementary school would tease me I would run off and dance in the wind, thinking that when I ran it started to blow.
:D It's so funny that you said that, about controlling the wind. I used to dream when I was little that I could jump in the air and the wind would carry me or fall off a cliff and the wind would stop me from fallling. It wasn't control so much as that the wind protected me.
