This is very beautifully written, and I don't think you are crazy at all. I'm glad you found what you needed to become a survivor.

Thank you so much. It wasn't always easy but I like the end result. :D

This sounds like a pretty good kind of crazy to me.

And can I just add, SERIOUS icon love! Who is that? I'm thinking Batgirl but I could be wrong.

As someone who went through very similar, I applaud you.

I have always loved trees. I am not a tree hugger in the ecological sense but I think it stems from my search to set down roots and always respected the earth and how nature is good. I love how you identify with the light as well. I have always found strength in the sun and though I do not like the term sun-worshiper, I am a bit of that too. Your piece really resonated with me.

and how nature is good

I love the way you put that. I echo that sentiment completely. Peace for me has always been found in nature, I've never felt threatened by a walk in the woods or a swim in the lake.

*nodnod* I agree that I wouldn't call myself a sun-worshiper per se but I do feel....hmmmm right word?...more enlightened? maybe. More open to the world and myself even when I'm in sunlight.

Thank you!!

I'm so sorry for all you've been through, but so happy you've survived it.

Hugging trees and dancing in the rain... those are things that bring you happiness, and there is strength in choosing them while knowing that other people might find that strange. Going against the grain, on purpose, is part of the same strength that lets you say "No" to people who want to hurt you.

Choosing to go forward, proudly, resolutely... crazy is for the people who would dismiss that.

:smiles: I like the way everything turned out even though I didn't always like the road that got me there.

I love the way you put this, thank you. This is a mantra I need to repeat to myself regularly.
