joy! got the macbook back today and IT WORKS!! no more unhappy flashing folder icon!

it's been like christmas around here, what with getting the new dell PC yesterday and the mac today. i now have three laptops and a desktop in my study. it's about 140 degrees in here, i tells ya...

you have to come here and get one!

yes, they are all networked, but they don't all talk. the G3 only talks to the printer, the Dell talks to the printer and the macbook, and the macbook talks to the Dell and the printer THROUGH the Dell, but not on its own. the macbook ought to talk to the G3, but i can't figure out how to bridge the appletalk/os 9 vs intel-based osx tiger/total lack of firewireness issue(s). it's really rather annoying on the whole, but i still feel totally cool.

oh, and there's another Dell, but it's kinda busted and untrustworthy, which is why there's a new Dell.
