I just checked into LJ after quite an extended absence to see what, if anything, I'd been missing. I checked the 'friends' section, but nothing shows up. That's kind of a bummer.  I broke my thumbnail a little while back. Well, more like shattered it right smack in the center, really. The damaged part came off quickly enough, though, and I didn't loose the entire nail, which was nice. As of now, the nail's still growing out the damaged area, and it's kind of weird because it's at this stage where I've got normal nail on one ( Read more... )

I'm kind of disappointed. For years I've maintained that my toes approximate a parabolic curve, but I've never actually matched my toes up against a graph to prove it. The other day I did just that, and as it turns out my toes (feet together) best approximate the simple function y = abs[(x^3)/60]. For some reason, Joseph has begun to intentionally smear food into his eyes when he eats. I would consider this behavior odd, but I'm told it's normal. Babies are odd creatures.

They don't offer water proof phones at AT&T. If things keep going the way they've been, I may need to pack up and move to a provider that does offer them. I have drowned 2 phones in 2 weeks. The first phone miraculously started functioning - slightly - after I got done murdering the 2nd phone, but it won't charge, it eats through a full battery in ( Read more... )

I've been a little off the last couple of weeks. I lost my voice just before going on vacation with some buddies of mine and the whole weekend I sounded like a bad cross between The Godfather and Screech from Saved By The Bell. I woke up at 3 this morning with a sore throat, which really sucks since I'm going to the beach tomorrow for a long weekend. My munchkin can walk!!!! He took his first real steps the day before yesterday (lurching forward two steps on your way to the floor - which is what he'd been doing for a while - just wasn't walking in my book).
