being a lazy slob who only shaves on dance class days (and not always then), my two-day underarm stubble was in my peripheral vision as i stretched lazily during a marathon typing session. imagine my horror and surprise upon noticing a pale glint: MY FIRST GREY PIT HAIR

Or at least commiseration is. I, too, have gray pit hairs. And gray nose hairs. And gray chest hairs. And, most assuredly enough, gray head hairs. If I cared enough to look, I'd probably find that I even have gray booty hairs... but I'm just not that adventurous. So while I can't tell you that it'll all be alright, I can at least let you know that you're not alone.

And chin up - at least you don't have gray whisker hair! Yeah, I've got those, too.

it's just so depressing. i'm reconciled to the grey head hairs, which i started finding at 24, but this seems like a violation somehow...

Gah. Getting older sucks, to be sure; but as a friend of mine insists on reminding me, it beats the alternative. :-)
