Her longevity is remarkable in itself, but to remain active to age 93 is truly phenomenal. In my neighborhood we have such a woman, 99 year old Mrs. W., who is one of the local "characters". Today I have posted about her on my LJ. Everyone should be gifted with an "Aunt Evelyn", shouldn't they?
Sorry to hear of her passing. She sounds like a strong woman!
I have a 99-year-old great aunt who's sharp as a tack though her mobility has decreased. (Whodathunk hitting the second half of one's 90s would bring along signs of aging like that?! Hah.) We all want to age like her. I'll see her in under two weeks.
Strangely, I don't find the death of people like Evelyn and my great aunt Eva to be too sad. I mean they were close to 100 and had full lives! Nothing to cry about there except for our missing them dearly. Funerals are more like celebrations then.
