It's weird when you meet up with those intimate childhood friends you haven't seen in twelve years. Especially when they're awkward and quiet. But seeing him again really changed the impact of going up north and seeing the Bay Area

whoa whoa whoa i go to berkeley! for all i know i could have seen you walking the streets! O_o! not that i know you that well, but berkeley sounds like it would be a great fit for you. and there's a buttload of korean christians here too~

YEAH, I saw the sign-thing for Campus Crusade (Korean, if I remember correctly) just inside Sather Gate, I think it was....

GAH, that's so cool that you go there! It was really very exciting visiting campus (which I loved), and now that I know YOU go there, it would be very cool to meet up, hahahah, if I'm even accepted. Just another reason. ^^

My parents are worried about the whole lack of individual attention-thing? So they want me to go to a smaller college instead, but I've been told it's just the lectures and most classes are smaller... that it's not so bad?

Anyway. Got my fingers crossed. :D

oh yeah there are discussion sections and those tend to be smaller. by the time you hit junior year your lectures will also be smaller (150ish as opposed to like 300-500). it's all about what you put in, though. if you don't seek attention from the professors or GSI/TAs (who head up the discussion sections) they won't give it to you...but if you're aggressive and visit them every week at their office hours or whatever, they'll definitely help you. i personally love the anonyminity of it, though...but that's just me. =P

i'm kinda surprised your parents would prefer a smaller college...cuz usually aren't those private schools? berkeley gives you an incredible education for the price of a public institution. hehe. well anyways gluck on your application and stuff, although i'm sure you won't need it. scholarly lil aurani ^_^!
