weekend adventures.

There was no way that I was going to stay in Poplar Bluff over Halloween weekend, so I drove up to St. Louis to attend a party there. It was a long drive, as always, but it was made much more pleasant by the wonderful conversation I had with irish_prncss on the way there. I met up with the guy I'd set up as a fixer for cyberpunk briefly, then headed on to ( Read more... )

Hey, I went to an after hours party last night at your old place. Kinda weird. Didn't realize where I was at until I went to the basement. Hehe.

I think I heard about something like that happening, but I didn't know it was at my old place. Usually when I lived there I found out about those things when they woke me up. How was it?

Yay for chem-e's! And I'm glad you had a good time. We did too. Next time you're browsing for breakfast in STL, let us know, we can tell you some better places to go - and also interesting ones that are only walking distance from our apartment, which has been nice.

Actually, if you've spent any time in a Catholic church, Episcopalians seem like the most open hearted souls ever. Also, that cathedral downtown is host to a lot of amazing vocal concerts, so if you liked the space, you should come up to hear choirs perform there.

I'll let you know when I get pictures of our party. They were sadly analog, so I actually have to have the film developed, put on a CD, and finished off in photoshop before I can email them around. But hopefully that won't take long. Glad you came up for the weekend.

Well, I didn't know I was going to be looking for a place for breakfast the next morning. I just usually can't sleep in too late when I'm not in my own bed, or else I would have stuck around for the french toast. I would have just taken off and eaten somewhere along the highway on the way back home, except I wanted that Siousxie CD, and I knew I'd have to find it somewhere in town, and therefore stick around until record stores started opening. Anyways, I like what Robin Williams said about Episcopal churches: "all of the pageantry, none of the guilt." I've never been to a Catholic church, they won't let me masticate. If you're going to keep reading my journal like this, you might as well sign in so you can read everything else I write. Not sure why I didn't screen this post, I usually screen most of them.
