this article comes very close to expressing the same things I would have said in my political rant had I decided to write it out.

And this article from the same site has some interesting information for people like atomic_roses who are fascinated with the behavior of voting machines.

I'm glad you posted the link to the article. I have been livid with the Christians lately, not just because of the election, but also because we are getting the catholic newsletter from our former tentants. I'm reading it to get more informed. I guess I just have a totally different opinion on what most "rightwing Christians" believe. E.g. I don't believe that we can destroy our planet and hope that God will take care of us. We have a German saying that goes something like: "Help yourself and God will help you."

Secondly, I believe that abortion is a bad thing, but child abuse is even worse. I think partial-birt abortion should be outlawed, but 1st trimester abortion should be still available (I would support a 3 strike rule).

I find it very hypocritical for Christians to be so hateful against homosexuals. Doesn't the Bible teach *you* to love the neighbor and the enemy? Don't judge?

I did like the article. Very well written and I'm pretty much in agreement with it.

There's nothing Christian about it, and that's what pisses me off. I think I'm going to write a more in depth post about what I think.

Ahhhh, what do you mean there was nothing Christian about it? I don't understand? You mean the article? I didn't read the article entirely, but I thought it was pretty good as far as I read.

No, I mean all that "rightwing Christian" stuff. I don't think there's anything Christian about it.
