Okay, so premise: a god (or gods) exist.
Pipe down at the back, atheists. This is a mental excercise.

Second premise. One religious model of the universe from the Earth's history has been correct in all particulars.

My personal favourite was the ontological proof: if God is perfect then He must exist, since nonexistence would be an imperfection. Awesome.

How about a branching universe theory where what you personally believe causes a branch in the universe to ensure that you personal view of god is the one that applies ?

Well, absolutely. Or a Gaimanesque/Pratchettesque mess where *all* the gods coexist with no regards to logic. The sun is Phaetos' burning chariot *and* is being rolled across the sky by a colossal dung beetle.

But the question wasn't about what you or I think the absolute truth is. It was a thought about what the appropriate course of action would be if the hypothesis were right.

How you doing anyway, son? Haven't heard from you in a bit. Roke keeping you chained to your desk?
