Is that a good metaphor? I don't know. It amused me when I wrote it, and now I find I like it. Does that make it good writing?
Based on a couple of suggestions and partly because I feel like it, I've now created a journal for the Writer's Attic Column that was originally published on fictionpress.com. Anyone who has in the past read it there will know that lately there have been problems with the column upload process which is making it difficult to access and hard to use

I need someone to read a novel and give me feedback . . . it's about 67,000 words, so it checks in at around the same length as Huxley's Brave New World, although it's probably not nearly as interesting
