I really liked this. any chance of more? I'd really love to see what happens when he turns himself in, especially if it really did work and he has no alter ego to fall back on. also, it would be cool if you got into why his mind fractured in the first place... sorry. I overthink things. especially things like this, since you wrote about my favorite disorder XDD

I never thought Gollum was a lost cause. He'd never be the same afterwards, but I do believe that Smeagol could have returned to his sane old self if he was given enough time.

I might continue this. I might not. It was hard to write considering how little I knew about this disorder. Might look things up and then start writing again, though, depending on how bored I am.

oh, I'm not saying he's a lost cause. just thinking about when that scene took place, and then the events later on. his evil half did come back. he wasn't free at that point, he just thought he was.

if you're ever legitimately interested, I'm a wealth of knowledge on MPD/DID (it's still MPD to me, but officially, it's DID). I learned as much as I could about it when I made my first character who had it. ^-^ so instead of hunting around, feel free to just ask lol

It's different in the book, though. He was about to be free from Gollum but then Sam went apeshit on him. So it was just an unfortunate case, supposedly.

I thought that it was fitting for Heechul to be insane, since he pretty much is insane in real life (or of what I find of him). Not to that point, of course, but slightly four-dimensional. I'm glad that you liked it!

How fitting- I'm watching Lord of the Rings later today (Aragorn/Legolas, whoot!). This was wonderfully psychological~ I do question Han Geng's sanity in taking in a random (probably bloodstained) stranger, but oh, the battle in Heechul's mind was very nicely carried out. And now there's a possibility that they'll live happily ever after, so it's all good :) Excellent job!

I made Han Geng slightly insane as well haha. But really, considering his status (homeless, totally alone, probably no insurance), he can't really do anything but help Heechul.

Wow. I just watched The Two Towers yesterday, and today I read a fic inspired by my favorite part! Awesome! LOL I think it was cool when you had Heechul's voice in his head start conversing with Han Geng. That was funny xD and yay for the voice finally leaving. Then he can live in peace and stuff. Oh and I'm secretly glad Siwon met a violent demise :x haha. You should write more. I read every one of your HanChul fics cuz they're all so original and well-written :D

I love Lord of the Rings, as cliched as it sounds lol. It's so well done despite being so long. The man who acted Gollum is amazing. I am the hugest fan of him.

HanChul is one of my favorite pairings, and I'm glad that you like my fics. I'm definitely going to write more of them in the future. <3

I read this last night and decided to spend some time digesting it before I commented. And that, my dear, is saying something that I would come back and respond. I think you wrote this REALLY well. It's some pretty scary shit, and I think you handled the horror of MPD quite well. The scene with Hankyung speaking to the "other" Heechul was chilling. It was good. Disturbing, but good.

I know, right? Gollum in LotR really scared me because there are really people out there just like him. I'm really glad that you think I did a good job because I know next to nothing about MPD, and only read a few articles before writing this. Thank you so much for the comment.
