The Giddy Place

So much stress right now but I think I've begun to enter into some kind of giddy space...I have been trying to finish up a few of the really emotional parts of the wedding...writing my vows and working on the ceremony with our amazing {{{{{{{{Sharone}}}}}}}}...and finishing up the wedding playlist...I was driving home listening to a k.d.lang song ( Read more... )

Awww! It all sounds great! You are so much more the girly girl than I am (or ever was!) I'm glad you are enjoying all the planning and lead up. It's going to be great.

I hope you don't end up blubbering like Mark on Biggest Loser but even if you do, it's all good! A couple tissues tucked in the cleavage and you'll be camera ready no matter what. :) Did you watch tonight? 1st female Biggest Loser!! woo hoo!!!

YES!!! Go Ali!!! I was really happy for her...I'm such a Biggest Loser fan. I've watched all seasons and LOOOOOOOOVE Jillian. So her winning streak continues...I'll bet Bob is crushed. ;>

I was in the unique position of having been involved in a number of weddings/handfastings of close friends and myself all in a very short period of time. And during that time, almost all of us brides were do-it-yourself-ers. And one thing became quite clear when I watched them go through it, and it was true for me too...

At some point in the weeks leading up to the wedding, you make a transition. You sort of cycle from the "wedding planner" to being more "the bride". It's hard to describe but you know it when you feel it... but it's very much a natural evolution, and it rocks. LOL Once I entered my "bride" stage, while still stressing the details, I seriously started to just let it all in - all the joy and beauty and wonder of it, and really allowed myself to FEEL like a bride.

*hugs* Looks (to me) like you're headed right into it (if not already there). ;)

P.S. LOL re the crying thing... I didn't cry during mine.... odd the motivation of not wanting my makeup to run. Which was actually adorable cuz Peggy had tears running down her cheeks and she still grumbles about how i was the one who held it together - and I cry at EVERYTHING.

But I second the vote for tissues in the cleavage area.... i did that too, just in case. I also wore a clear, waterproof mascara rather than black (precautions...) lol
