Hee, I love the lively and comic dialogue and the interaction between the characters. So Sokka basically came up with Mendelian genetics, huh? Brilliant.

Two points I didn't understand: One of Sokka's lines seems to end mid-sentence ("fifty-fifty on her"), and I didn't get the last sentence since the third kid was in fact an airbender. Or does it mean Sokka did without meat for a month after Tenzin's birth? Poor Uncle Sokka. :(

I don't even know how I messed that up. Maybe I just *thought I typed it out. It's now fixed. And secondly, I meant it as Sokka predicting it right every time. In my mental continuation, Sokka spends a lot of time researching genealogies and such.

In my headcanon Sokka pursues scientific education postseries, somewhat haphazardly but helped by renewed international cooperation. I have to wonder what the theories of bending and heredity were in the canon Atla world.
