Okay! You know something about chiggers and their terrible bites? Post what you 'know' here! I've had different doctors tell me completely different things and the internet is 'helpful' as opinions vary. Different medicines actually vary too. Some go for the Chiggers burrow under your skin, so this medicine is just like fingernail polish, some go

First and foremost. Don't let Liz and Yolanda convince you to put nail polish on them. Especially pink nail polish. You'll just look silly and your liege lord will mock you.

Most important, don't scratch them. Use liberal amounts of anti-itch lotion. I recommend against calomine as it's slow acting and pink (see above about pink nail polish and your liege lord).

There is clear stuff that's just like calamine, and it's not slow acting at all. Pbbbbtttt!!!!

Good info all around, but for a quick fix for the itching, water as cold as you can stand it on the immediate area (what works for me). Then your creams and pills as listed above. :)

(Nero SGA had a similar issue a few weeks ago)

zantac works

causes itching to lessen. Also works for poison ivy
