50 books for 2007

I'm a long way from fifty books so rec me some!P.S. Not rating the books because...well, too much effort, plus, sometimes I hate a book the first time I read it, but then I came to appreciate it when I read it at a later date...so therefore I'm not going to going into details whether or not I ( Read more... )

Oh, I'm so addicted to reading Diana Wynne Jones books now - her books are easy to read, they're like chocolate!

LOL I wish I could do a hundred books! But university will probably keep me too busy, which is why I made it 50 :(

WHOA. Books...

I love them, but can never seem to get through them, I'm one of those read to half-way people then just forget about it. Bad habit actually.

These books look fun though, the Republic of the Trees sounds scary yet fascinating! :)

Oh, The Republic of the Trees is scary in a Lord of the Flies type of way - the ending is horribly disturbing. It's an interesting book but I don't think I would rec it to people because it's one of those books that might be a bit *too* much for some people to handle. It's about these four kids who go out into the forest, and decide to have their own revolution based on the principles of Rousseau's The Social Contract. Lol everytime they mentioned Rousseau I thought of Lost!
Anyway, you know how the French Revolution goes...it's definitely not fun & games! oOo

What sort of games? I asked.
'Make-believe,' said Louis, 'Like we used to do at your house, Isobel. Remember when we did Romeo and Juliet?'
'Oh yes, I was such a good Juliet.' Isobel smiled. 'I still think it should have had a happy ending, though. Which play do you want to do ( ... )

not sure if you like religious books

but the series love comes softly is adorable,
other books sisterhood like i mentioned before, anything by nicholas sparks, pride and prejudice,romantically challenge...okay let me know if you need any more suggestions (i always keep lists of books i read and it's a lot!!!)

Pride and Prejudice is one of my favorite books...I keep planning to read Nicholas Sparks, The Notebook is definitely up there on my to-read list.
