Clint writes a "wake up" note to himself while under mind control anonymous January 6 2013, 04:32:13 UTC

During the time when he was under Loki's control, Clint keeps finding these notes addressed to himself. They're strange notes, written frantically as though he knew he didn't have much time to write them. They don't make much sense either, sine they keep begging that he wake up. To wake up before Loki-

Inspired by this creepy-pasta:

"It has been reported that some victims of torture, during the act, would retreat into a fantasy world from which they could not wake up. In this catatonic state, the victim lived in a world just like their normal one, except they weren’t being tortured. The only way that they realized they needed to wake up was a note they found in their fantasy world. It would tell them about their condition, and tell them to wake up. Even then, it would often take months until they were ready to discard their fantasy world and please wake up."

For some reason the fuck up balloon was almost as unsettling for me as the wake up notes. So I had to make art of it.

OMG! I just saw this! You're amazing! I love that you made it a star. That makes it even more insulting to leave as a happy you fucked up gift. Lol!

I don't know where those balloons came from or why I wrote them. Or why they got so creepy. I think because they're so mundane, maybe?

It took me a bit to notice the 'tesseract duty' notes on the background.

It's cool that they had such an impact. I was just thinking of them as the heckling kind of show-you-care that people in tough jobs sometimes tend towards because acknowledging the danger is too real, or not part of their work place culture, or whatever. So instead you get, "I like how you stopped that bullet with your head. Good thinking!" where something surface-harsh becomes code for are you okay/sorry you got shot/get well soon/we're thinking of you buddy/etc.

Or at least, that's how I was thinking of them at their first appearance. Then they kind of kept appearing and became their own thing.

Of course it's all happening in Clint's subconscious, so multiple interpretations could work.
