Bucky & Pepper friendship

Bucky and Pepper meet and become friends. You wouldn't expect the classy businesswoman and the defrosted recovering human weapon to have much in common, but they hit it off surprisingly well.

(And they do have a few things in common, below the surface: strong Hufflepuff tendencies, most important in-canon relationship is with a superhero who gives them plenty to worry about, got captured by a creepy guy who shot them full of super soldier juice...)

Bucky, Avengers, recovering!Bucky is both adorable and badass

Bucky's been staying with the Avengers, but most of them (except for Steve, Sam, and Natasha, of course) have never actually seen him fight. They've *heard about* the Winter Soldier, of course, but most of them know Bucky best as Steve's BFF with the sad puppy eyes who goes all mother-hen whenever Steve gets deserumed by the bad guy of the week. Maybe he knits, fosters stray baby kittens, makes funny webvideos about the Avengers' shenanigans - use whatever cute headcanons you have about recovering!Bucky's recreational activities.

At any rate, Bucky's efforts at not being a killing machine anymore have been so successful that many of his friends don't realize how dangerous he can be. Until there comes a time when he has to fight (maybe the Avengers need a sniper on a mission and Clint's injured or busy with family stuff, maybe Hydra tries to break into their base and it's all hands on deck, maybe Steve's in trouble), and everyone gets to see the cyborg super soldier world-class assassin in action. It's a learning experience.

WWII fic - Howling Commandos in Norway

It's canon that Red Skull went to Norway to find the Tesseract. Maybe he maintained an interest in the area - if there was one Asgardian artifact in the country, there might be more, and Norway's strong mythic tradition would have appealed to Schmidt's occult interests.

And the historical Norwegian Resistance pulled off some impressive feats.

So I'm interested in the Howlies teaming up with the Norwegian resistance to take on Hydra. It can be a straight-up adventure/war story, or if you want to go a more fantasy/supernatural/horror route and add some monsters from Norwegian folklore, that would be awesome too.
