Does your new place have a balcony or patio or anything? Or even some nice windows? I have a book on container gardens. You can't grow anything huge, but you could do a tomato plant or two and a few smaller things. Esp if you can take advantage of multiple windows! :)

I will do my utmost to take advantage of the area, though everything will have to be in containers because bare dirt doesn't even exist! It looks like there might have been beds at one point but they were paved over. There are 8 children in the complex at least and they all use the small courtyard to play and ride their bikes. I'm going to attempt to put some plants out there that I'm not too attached to just to get a feel for whether or not it's reasonable.

I'll have house plants and herbs inside as much as possible, but outside is a gamble. I certainly can't grow most of what I want out there, but flowers would be nice if only to break up the gray concrete!

Oh, neat! I wish there was something like that near me. I would love to garden with others.
