False Dilemma Fail

The Chief of the Jefferson, GA police has a quote full of Fail. From the Athens Banner-Herald article, regarding complaints that the installation of red-light cameras at a particular crossing would serve as a source of revenue more than an actual safety improvement:

It annoys me plenty when they pull out the "if you haven't done anything wrong then you've got nothing to hid" canard. This is just icing on that cake of police harassment.

Having accidentally run the red light on the intersection of Alps and Atlanta Highway, where the light is red and green AT THE SAME TIME, I have been in this circumstance of being ticketed.

The vehicle your tag is registered to is on record. If the vehicle you're driving doesn't match that, then they'll have to look into it. Which is still an unbelievable hassle because you'll need to go to court at least once. But those stupid kids are taking an awful risk for a minor reward. You'd think they were clever... but that's really idiotic.
