Moving Forward

There comes a time when the only thing to do is throw out your old life and start fresh.

Several years back, my whole fake-famous,/attention-whore schtick turned on me and suddenly the idea of people out there in the world and internetland knowing about me, combined with the fact that so much of my persona was a fragile maquette constructed to ( Read more... )

I have two comments.

1) I like you because of your sense of humor and your mad, mad artistic talents. The quirky and the drama were not the main attraction for me.

2) If you DO decide to abandon livejournal and blog elsewhere, I would very much love having a link that I could stitch into my LJ friendslist via an rss feed. I like being an old grandma and prefer livejournal’s ad-free, not blinking, random noise space.

I'm trying to have as much integration as possible between my various internet homes. You should see the insane flowchart I made the other day!

Are you sure you're not an accountant?

My internet life is fairly simple. I blog on LJ. I have my facebook setup to feed "public" livejournal entries. I have three email accounts: work, gmail for personal, and yahoo for when I don't want people to have my "real" email for spamming and what not. I only visit my yahoo if I am being sent something specific.

I sell things on eBay, amazon, and etsy, but not as much as I have in the past. Those are thus fairly managable. I'm lucky if I make a sale once or twice a month.

I thought your most interesting posts were the ones in which you talked about your art and how you're trying to evolve it. I especially liked the one where you discussed Jim Carey's comedies and drew the parallel between your art. I even told my husband about it because I thought it was a good story about embracing that at which you excel even if it's not the "serious artist" path.

At first I misread and thought you would absolutely not be posting about Cranium shenanigans. I was a little sad.

I totally own at cranium. Even for all my skills, though, the dice sometimes do me wrong.
