I just finished Uncle Tom's Cabin, and I don't know what people had been complaining about; it was an amazing book. I loved it. To those of you who haven't read it yet but have to for summer reading, do not despair. It's really an excellent book.

My parents and Alex and my grandmother and I went down to my grandmother's vacation house in Hull today to begin to clear stuff out to prepare to sell the house, kind of assessing the situation a bit. Good Will Hunting, now that's a movie I could finish watching. And I did just that today. Wow. Most definitely one of my favorite movies. I can't believe Matt Damon and Ben Affleck wrote it when they were in their 20's. To anyone who hasn't seen this movie, I highly suggest you view it as soon as possible.

My aunt Jeannie is visiting from California, and she told a funny story over dinner tonight. Just when I thought I'd never see a movie more disturbing than meet the feebles...I watched TV until 3 AM this morning, and on HBO was the movie Elephant, based on the Columbine High School shooting.
